What is Liposonix™
ultrasound fat reduction?
Liposonix™
is a new technology that uses high frequency ultrasound to "dissolve"
away unwanted fat.
In the past, the only effective was of
removing fat cells was to destroy them (such as laser lipolysis - see
www.laserliposuction.co.uk)
or to remove them using liposuction or surgery.
Liposonix™
uses high intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) technology that has been
developed over many years.
Ultrasound itself is very safe and is used
to scan for babies or to perform medical scans on the abdomen or
heart. What HIFU does is to focus this ultrasound onto a small area of
fat cells under the skin, to kill them and let the body digest them
away.
